I was born and raised in Cincinnati; a graduate of St. Xavier High School. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Analysis from Miami University, where I met Fran, my future wife. After college I moved to Minneapolis, working in the field of software programming and design. I moved back to Cincinnati a short time later, where Fran and I were married. After working for a software company, and then as a consultant for a few years, I started my own company in 1988, Stat Crew Software, creating scoring and statistics software products for college athletics. Over the years Stat Crew developed strong relationships with organizations such as the NCAA, CBS Sports, and ESPN. In 2007 the company was bought by CBS Sports, and I stayed on for 2 years as president.
I retired in 2009, but continued to do some occasional consulting work for them, as well as scoring/statistics service for Miami, St. Xavier, and the NCAA (primarily during “March Madness”). Fran and I have a daughter, Allison, who is a licensed optician, and an amazing artist who specializes in illustration. We are season subscribers to the Pops, and have been members of the Friends of Music Hall for several years. I am an avid golfer and dog lover (we have a 7 year old standard schnauzer and an 11 year old Shiba Inu). Serving as a docent at Music Hall has been a very rewarding experience for me.
